When

Foundation; an organization dedicated to helping families in need of food.
The Foundation is a non-profit organization and support families and individuals
regardless of race, religion or political persuasion.
The
Ora A. Floyd Foundation is named in honor of the authors mother. When organized
in 1976 in the State of California, Mrs. Floyd made the first contribution
to the Foundation. She was a lifelong resident of Mobile County, Alabama
and had a benevolent spirit until her death at the age of ninety. The Foundation
has given scholarships to young people in the pursuit of higher education.
It has helped families faced with emergencies and it has helped and is
helping families short on food to exist on a month to month basis.
The
Foundation re-established itself in the Mobile County, Alabama area in
December of 2001. Since May 2002 with barely more than two years of records,
it has helped over 255 families, 614 individuals and 405 children in need
of food. Although clients are referred to the Foundation by Catholic Social
Services, the Food Stamp Office, the Bay Area Food Band and 'word of mouth',
the Foundation receives no organized support from any organization and
has never turned anyone seeking assistance away. It operates from its own
creativity and the help and goodwill from the financial support of people
like you. No one on staff receives a salary; not even a stipend. One hundred
percent of funds donated support the humanitarian efforts of The Ora A.
Floyd Foundation.

Lost Angels is proud to support The Ora A. Floyd Foundation. Pick up or
